A sergent of Paris who maintained order at the market on rue Mont-Fetard. When a relic seller was accused of being a Jew, he initially attempted procedural fairness, asking for the man's name and insisting on a proper pillorying rather than mob violence. However, his authority was limited, and he ultimately carried out the arrest.
