Rochelle-la-Blanche was a hill village ten miles north of St. Martin-le-Preux, known for its granite quarries. It housed the shrine of the Virgin of the White Rock, a site of reported miracles, until the statue was destroyed when a mob from Chanson-des-Anges attacked to reclaim it, leading to a battle that killed all the attackers.
